Annie Zweizig is a Colorado-born artist with a rowdy soul and an eye for detail. Working primarily in the organically abstract, inspiration for her work ranges anywhere from beautiful Rocky Mountain landscapes and flora, to the dark and withdrawn corners of day-to-day life. However, that wild inspiration for creation is what drives her endless search for texture, color, pattern, and style. She believes that art is influenced heavily by our own emotions, and that as an audience, the best way to love art is to take a deep breath, hold it, and find your own reflection in the artwork you are looking at; no two experiences with any person, and any artwork, will ever be the same. She graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado Denver in 2013, and currently works out of her home studio in Golden, CO, accompanied by her husband, two small children, two dogs, and three chickens.
